🧑🍳【Happy Magic Kitchen】 – Purple Yam Pancakes🫕
This month’s Happy Magic Kitchen combines with the themed activity “Purple Planet,” where we learned about purple yams. Together, we guided our little ones to create a healthy and delicious dish – yam pancakes!
The soft and fluffy yam, sweet vegetables, and golden crispy pancake skin sizzle on the griddle, filling the air with delightful aromas that made everyone’s tummies rumble with excitement.
During the activity, the children had the opportunity to touch the ingredients, feeling the unique slippery and sticky texture of the yam. They observed the beautiful purple color once the yam was cut and learned how to mix, stir, and pour the ingredients into the frying pan.
Watching the batter transform into round pancakes, changing from a purple liquid to golden-purple circles, brought immense joy and a sense of accomplishment to the children, making them smile with delight!
Through this delicious experience, our little ones not only became familiar with more natural vegetables but also enhanced their fine motor skills, observational abilities, and self-care skills. Finally, sharing the yam pancakes they made themselves allowed them to savor the joy of “the tastiest is the one I made!”
